Vecka Sjuttioen [Week 71]

Transfers are here!  I'm staying here as the district leader and my companion is moving to Karlstad.  I will be getting Elder Pearson, who is three transfers older than me in the mission.  I didn't think I would be getting a companion older than me for the rest of my mission, but it turns out I was wrong.

This week was really good.  This week was FAITH WEEK!  For each day of the week we had a different activity we would do to show our faith.  Monday was having a prayer in our hearts always.  Tuesday was Talk to Everyone (including chasing down people and getting several people on buses).  Wednesday was Over the Top Obedience, where we were being exactly obedient to every little thing, not letting a single rule go by.  Thursday we focused on Not Wasting a Single Second, and always being busy with a good thing.  Friday was an extra focus on "Find when you teach, teach when you find."  Saturday was inviting everyone to be baptized, and Sunday was "Ask referrals from Everyone."  Needless to say this week brought a lot of good lessons.

We started out a little rough with one of our investigators telling us he got an answer that the Book of Mormon is not from God.  So we taught him the Plan of Salvation, and he decided to read the Book of Mormon again, and pray about it.  It was a little rough, but ended well.  Tuesday was really good as well.  We talked to a lot of people, and the funny part about it was because there's always a little fear of talking to people, you are forced to keep a prayer in your heart always to accomplish that goal.

For district meeting on Thursday we talked about obedience, and how it is vital for us, not just now, but will build a discipline that will bless our lives later.  We talked a lot about doing things for the right reasons, not just doing the right things.  As President Beckstrand says, "Obedience is synonymous to charity."  It was a really good district meeting.  We have an investigator that seemed to have a crush on the elders, so we switched her over to the sisters now.  Problem solved there!

Friday we were down in Hudiksvall to announce that church would be on the 31st down there, and also to visit the wonderful people down there.  It's always great to go there because the people are so wonderful, and there's a lot of work to be done.  We had a great time down there, and even found quite a few new people to visit when we come down next time.

Saturday we got the news, but we also had a baptism of two of the sisters' investigators.  They are wonderful, and will be staying active as well.  It was a great way to close a transfer.  The baptism was a very spiritual experience. Their confirmation was also wonderful.  The Lord has great things in store for those who choose to follow Him.  This week has been a witness of that.  As we constantly make the choice to follow our Savior, He opens our eyes to see the miracles that He does around us.  Giving sight to the spiritually blind, and opening the eyes wider of those that wish to follow Him.

Have a wonderful week!

This was a weird thing that someone said was a rainbow, but I've never

seen a rainbow that is that bright!
It looked almost like there were two suns.
