Vecka Nittiosex [Week 96]

Hejsan!

This week was incredible.  It was sad to send Elder Svensson on his way to Gotland, but he's excited to go there.  He's going to love it!  Our P-day for 4th of July was started with a barbeque with a bunch of missionaries, but we had to leave early to go golfing with an investigator.  It shows that I haven't touched a set of clubs in two years.  I started getting into the swing of things though when it was time to play our 9 holes.

Tuesday was a day full of hard work.  We talked to everyone, taught lots of people and even got to do some great tracting!  It was a great way to send off Elder Svensson, and a great summary of our transfer together.  Lots of hard work, positive people, and had lots of fun doing it.

Elder Bailey came in and we got right to work.  We met a member on transfer day while waiting with Elder White for his companion, Elder Murtonen, and this member decided to treat us to lunch.  They were visiting from Dubai, and he had lots of great stories about Sweden from when he was here from 84-85ish.  Right around the time the temple was dedicated.  He helped out with organizing some things for the open house.

We've taken over the teaching of a man named Daniel who was referred to us by a new convert in our ward.  He's getting baptized really soon.  His date is for the 23rd, but it is probably going to change because that's our ward's temple day.  But he's very ready to be baptized.  He's so excited.  We had a great lesson with him on Thursday, and an even better one on Saturday.  His friend, Naasi, is such a great member to have on lessons.  He really understands the gospel and can explain it simply and in biblical context.  What a great guy.

Sunday we had dinner with another recent convert.  She made us all Knödel, which is an Alpine dish that consists of a dough ball with a filling.  Our filling was plums.  They had a topping of cinnamon and sugar, and were super good!  She also made a zucchini soup that was fantastic!  It was a great dinner.

Things are going great out here.  It's crazy to think how much time I have left, but it doesn't feel like it is going to end.  We're working hard, and that's our only focus.  Teaching repentance, baptizing converts.

mvh,

Äldste Liddle
