Vecka Trettioåtta [Week 38]

Wow it's already been a week?

The office is really fun, but we're always busy. A usual week involves at least one morning of waking up around 5-5:30 am, two nights where we get to sleep around 10:30, and lots of laughing, happiness, and problem solving. We try to prioritize everything so we can be out proselyting for a majority of our time, but there is lots of office work, so it is a fun struggle to prioritize. We're managing though, and it is wonderful. I love being in such a great area. I found out that probably half of our members are programmers, or do something with computers for their jobs, so I really fit in in this ward.

iPhones are fun problems. We do a lot with iPhones to try to keep things safe and in line with Church standards, but it's hard at times. Luckily I did lots of IT support before coming here, so I know my two cents about networks, iPhones, and policies. We've got some big changes we're hoping to get approved coming up to help us out with our iPhones so that things can be more efficient and easier for everyone. No, no iPads yet.

We've got a member we're working with who's getting ready to go to the temple, and things are going great with her. She's really strong, and that's incredible considering how negative the majority of her family is. Her one sister was in church yesterday though, and that was cool! We had a really good Sunday. It was busy before church preparing for teaching two classes, and office work, then in church Elder Noso gave a great talk, and we all sang a special musical number, Come Thou Fount, with the words of Oh How Lovely was the Morning. The Spirit was super strong on the fourth verse as we sang about what Heavenly Father said to him, and I was almost in tears on the stand singing it. It is true. Joseph Smith really did see God the Father and Jesus Christ, and was called to be the prophet of the restoration. After church we had to hurry over to an amazing member family's house, where they were hosting a fireside where President and Sister Beckstrand were speaking. I was in charge of tech, and things went pretty well. Just 1 or 2 minor blips. It was another spiritual feast, and an answer to my prayers.

We did chalk art this week to help us out with finding, and it went really great! We drew a 3D globe, with a banner that said, "Meningen med livet?" (meaning of life?) It was a great idea, and we had lots of people who stopped and were asking us about it, and it led to great opportunities to find and teach people. It was a lot of fun, and I had the chance to go contacting with Elder Noso at the time. He is an incredible missionary. To tell you what kind of missionary he is, he had a guy committed to be baptized on the flight into Sweden. He's really good at what he does, and being around him you just can't help but love him, and want to be better. He's taught me a lot already, and I'm sure he'll be able to teach me a lot in the upcoming weeks.

The Church is true, and it is a wonderful work we are doing right now. Keep up the great work everyone, and always remember, we can do more than we think we can.
