Hejsan!
This week was very fast. Our district leader decided that for his last week he wanted our district to get 1000 unplanned contacts. That means between our bus rides, and walking to appointments we are talking to 1000 people between 6 companionships. We contribute d around 180 of the 1100 unplanned contacts from our district. We shot past our goal and really saw a lot of good work done!
This week we had quite a bit set up, but everything fell through except for one of our member dinners. So we were finding people, all day, every day. We met with a less-active that was really positive, and wants to start coming back to Church. That was really good. We also met a lot of people in miraculous ways.
My most memorable experience from this week was after the member dinner. We were tracting, and on the top floor of this building. We knocked on the first door, and I heard a strange click from the door behind us, and immediately my body went into panic mode because all that I was thinking was "Leave." We got no answer, knocked on the next door, and the feeling got stronger, "Leave!" So we went down a floor, and knocked on the next door, and the feeling got even stronger, "LEAVE!" and we heard someone sneaking out of the door upstairs clearly trying not to be noticed. I told my companion, "Let's go!" and he was a little shocked, but then he felt it too, and we hurried out of that building. I think that if we would've stayed, we would've knocked the entire building continuing to get no answers, and moved onto the next one in the row. But we left, went to a different group of buildings, knocked some doors, and then had time for one last stairway, so I asked my companion which one he wanted to do, so we went for the closest, then he felt a different one, so we changed and went there, and the first door answered! But they were really negative. But as we were about to knock on the next door, a guy walked up the stairs to get in, and we talked to him, and he said he had a bunch of friends who want to learn about Christianity. Then after we had finished knocking doors we were just meeting person after person that was ready to listen, and had an interested friend. That was way cool! Sometimes the promptings we receive aren't for the reasons we think, but as we follow promptings we will receive blessings and accomplish the Lord's will.
We also went to visit some less-actives with a member this week, and he took us to see a place called Dragon Gate. It's a little piece of China in the middle of nowhere. Everything there was imported from China. Then they ran out of money... And it's cool, but it's like a ghost town since it's in the middle of nowhere. But it was cool. One of the attached pictures is of something I made called a Kladkaka. Basically it's a super tasty chocolate cake.
Have a great week, I love you all!
